President’s Foreword

It is my pleasure to present the 2012 Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce Information Directory which is the most comprehensive business and community information guide for existing and prospective businesses and organisations.

The PHCCI working in partnership with local business is proud to have delivered a range of new initiatives this year including the Who’s Who in Pilbara Business news bulletin which is distributed throughout Australia and the management of 80 rooms subsidised for small business at Port Haven TWA which has assisted over 200 small businesses and organisations in this first year of operation.

The Chamber has also this year assisted with the Town of Port Hedland 'Pilbara Port City Growth Plan' which sets the vision of Port Hedland becoming an attractive vibrant and affordable city within the next 10 years providing economic diversifi cation and opportunities for business to prosper.

The PHCCI is also very proud to have initiated the Inaugural Hedland Economic Summit with an abundance of information presented and shared in the one day conference about the contribution we make to the State, National and Global economy and how local business can take advantage of these opportunities.

We are also extremely excited to have unveiled at the conference the first ever scaled working model of Port Hedland show casing all current and future infrastructure projects to illustrate how the Pilbara Port City Vision will become a reality.
